I think the correct answer here is "both." :-) They are a great feature, but they also introduce an incompatibility. For us, cAos 3 has been fully Dirname-savvy for ages (probably the 2nd distro, behind PLD of course, to be) but is a lot smaller than 2. I'm still trying to catch everything up. Would it be possible to make the functionality opt-in via command line options and/or macros, but to also auto-manage /etc/rpm/sysinfo/Dirnames? Michael -- Michael Jennings (a.k.a.
