Would be nice to have windows again under the supported platforms.
When I speak for myself I am running python 2.7 comfortably on Mac OS.
Trying to get it used in web2py application.

No solution, but an answer.
Jiri (CCed) is working on getting the latest version building with
Windows, but it's not trivial.
In the mean time, the last version with a Windows installer is 2.0.8,
but it needs a somewhat older version of R. Alternatively, if you're
comfortable running Linux in a VM (or dual booting), you can install
the latest version there.
