You cite a fake-super attribute, which rsync does not consider to be a real
xattr (since it was not present in the original copy).  Either do another
fake-super copy, or use -XX, which includes even internal extended attributes.

Sadly, the manpage fails to mention the use of -XX, which I just fixed in the
git repo.
