Hmmm... I have more applications on my desktop that suffer in the same way
when moving the window after an open file dialog...

Faulting application prowin32.exe, version 11.2.1.1236, time stamp
0x517f0573, faulting module vsapi.dll, version 8.0.1.0, time stamp
0x3f1c42ac, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00049272, process id
0x1f80, application start time 0x01cf116dffe66370.

Another one does not crash, but snaps the first window move after the open
file dialog back to where the window move started.

So did some further googling... and this one solved it
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word/faulting-mo
dule-gdiplusdllunloaded/0d0c6665-383e-4ca6-a5a0-7558630ea31e

I had Apple iCloud installed (for photo stream). Uninstalling iCloud fixes
the crashes in all of the above (including SimCoupe).

Best regards,

Stefan

Using the latest SimCoupe build (1.55B3) I was playing around with z88dk
again - and I think I now have a reproducible way to crash SimCoupe.

1. start SimCoupe.
2. file / import data...
3. ok to default location (32768) and just cancel (or load a file if you
really feel you need to) 4. move the SimCoupe window a little bit

-> crash

Faulting application SimCoupe.exe, version 1.0.0.0, time stamp 0x52cf1ef9,
faulting module gdiplus.dll_unloaded, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp
0x515ba857, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x730a74b2, process id
0x1e04, application start time 0x01cf0fe7a1ad87c0.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Stefan

The fault location doesn't ring any bells, though it appears DirectDraw on
Vista (or later) is emulated using GDI+. I'll send you an updated build to
try, which also uses D3D by default so it should look much better than the
blocky software version. I'll still see if I can reproduce the issue using
the same drivers and my similar hardware.
