namsthe,

not trimming email is environmental pollution. mostly email users avail the
facility free - they use internet time provided by their employers many times
without employers knowledge. those in universities are using tax payer's money
- fund or grant.

a few pay for it themselves - email services provided by yahoo google
whatever are free as part of promotional services. however they are load on the
planet and receiver such as i that pay with my own money. when emails are
received they need to be stored on disk for reading later when time can be
devoted for the same. here there is lot of waste of time and space junking the
"tails" of messages that keep growing and growing.

it out to be a part of "netiquette" that users trim the tail before sending.
In a different cmputer forum i am advocating that untrimmed emails in free
email groups ought to be considered "spam" .

a careful thought on the matter i am sure will be of mutual benefit to the
community.

  regards

  kedarnath
