Debian local mirror is ftp://ftp.iitm.ac.in
there is a rsync script available at www.debian.org/mirror/anonftpsync
Gento is another distro to look forward to
Gentoo's social contract is at:
http://www.gentoo.org/index-contract.html
i dunno know how easy or difficult it would be to support gentoo.
Gentoo is available for download at
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo/

Gentoo version 1.4 is being talked about a lot
