As far as RedHat is concerned, if you are talking about the rpm's I would dare to differ. RPMs are undeniably the worst installation system I have ever seen, heck they are even worst than windows installers. You need to go and find out exactly what packages you need and make sure all your dependencies are fulfilled manually. In my opinion, this is pretty fucked up.
