If you put a shortcut to the folder in your startup, will resolve the issue.
You might also try running a command prompt (from startup) that simply does a
DIR of the folder then closes. This way the user will not have to close a box.

Subject: [scripting] Establish Active Session on Mapped Drive

Situation:

A user is mapped to a network drive, where the destination folder exists on
another domain.

Permissions are not an issue; they work fine.

However, in order for the drive session to become active, the user must
manually click the drive once in Windows Explorer. Once that’s done everything
works fine. Until this done, efforts to open files on the mapped drive will
fail.

I’m looking for a scripting strategy to make the drive session active without
the user having to do anything.
