Not sure if it is required but it can do no harm: Probably a good idea to turn
on CONFIG_ACPI_DEBUG as well as applying that patch.

its the same in linux-2.6.16-rc1 kernel.
i have found, that kacpid starts to behave this way after initializing
lm_sensors
via sensors -s command in initscripts.
