CTLS used Graebel Movers, 2311 Chestnut Path, Round Rock, phone 246-2104,
for the last two moves. This isn't cheap, though. You might want to consider
packing your own boxes - both to save money and to have your books go into
boxes marked with the correct shelf location, and come back out in shelf
order. I've got instructions for that somewhere, if you're interested.

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience locally with a company or could
recommend a company that will pack up library materials, store them, and
return them while we have our carpets replaced?

http://www.tospartners.com/txmas.php.  Ask for either Patrick Zagurski or
Trey Gardner with their Move Solutions area. They met with us at CTLS some
time ago and I was impressed with their services and credentials.  They are
very familiar with libraries.  Their experience includes doing just the same
thing for several Austin ISD school libraries.  They are also on the state
contract, which offers a nice discount/low prices.  

 

I'll be out of town until Thursday so if you have questions about library
movers, call Jennifer Patterson or Laurie Mahaffey in our office.  They both
have experience with these businesses.
