You're right, that was one of the problems.
Another was that Postfix is running chrooted and therefor
could not connect to mysql. Error was:
postfix/cleanup[12345]: warning: connect to mysql server
inet:localhost: Can't connect to local MySQL server through
socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'
