I assume twitter announcement was a false alarm.
No doubts something must be on the works, but the truth is l10n teams
would appreciate to get a heads-up on the oracle-OOo affair and how it
might affect l10n.
I for one would love the idea of not having to manage and maintain 2
parallel translations (i.e. ooo & libo) for Catalan language. I've
implemented lots of corrections to ooo translation and i hate not to
see those corrections implemented in the libo Catalan translation too.
In short, I'd love to see ooo and libo together again, for l10n sake
and sanity of mind, so to speak.

Indeed the build availability has been postponed last week from
May 5 until May 12
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease34 and at the
same time the fixes deadline has been postponed to May 23

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/index.php?title=OOoRelease34&diff=196604&oldid=195997

So I guess something is in the works. I haven't been able to find an
Italian version to test localization either, and I would have
expected the new builds to appear somewhere under

http://ooo.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/cws/upload/localization/
but apparently we'll have to wait longer.

[l10n-dev] Re: IMPORTANT: OpenOffice.org 3.4 - Localization Schedule

2011-05-15 Thread Jordi Serratosa

Hi all
I just saw this tweet tonight:

Today is the L10N fixes delivery deadline #OOo340
 #l10n

However, since the l10n delivery deadline from April 27th we have not
seen a single build containing our translations, so could can today be
the day to deliver the l10n fixes?

How were we supposed to test our translations?
Am I missing something?

Un the wiki link schedule:

I see:
May, 12^th 2011 L10N CWS builds availability (link tbd)
Did that happen at all?

I guess all teams have been awaiting news from Oracle regarding OOo, but
everything is being so quiet that we (at least me) really wonder what's
going on and where to go from here.

Dear Translators/Localizers,

as always in the last years, I've created a wiki page that gathers
information on volume and deadlines for both translation and l10n
testing for the next version of OpenOffice.org.

Final delivery deadline to upload translated files is April 27th.

With milestone 103 all major UI and Help changes in the translatable
content have been integrated so that that content is pretty stable. I
would encourage you to start translating immediately - if you haven't
done so already - to be able to have enough time for testing.

Thanks to the continuous l10n process, now it is possible to verify
your translation in the product at every milestone. Great to see that
there are already a number of native language teams that are taking
advantage of this!

In case of questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Kind Regards,
Rafaella

Hi all,

Does anybody know where the fresh POT packs for
3.4 (specifically, m103) might be found?
Eventually, equivalent SDF will do.

Thanks
