First, Kurt, there is no automated way to update DXCC award credit
status in DX4WIN, other than by hand. The file you downloaded can't
be used by DX4WIN. Please read this article:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html

and see this utility:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/lotw/

Second, any DXCC credits you have that pre-date LoTW (i.e. paper
confirmations from the the 1990s and earlier) won't have the correct
QSO information in them. The paper ARRL DXCC records did not contain
any QSO information, only callsigns.

I was hoping that the LoTW program above could be adapted for VUCC,
but unfortunately, there is no way to download a file of VUCC award
credits that includes both paper QSL credits as well as LoTW credits.

I doubt that's the case, but have no intention to investigate a one QSL
discrepancy. Years ago I tracked a similar discrepancy to a W1 callsign
that was confirmed, then the record disappeared only to show up again a
few months (?) later. I suspect LoTW has a few glitches that they try to
keep on the down low and not advertise too much.

Registering for LoTW is fairly involved and secure, as it should be, so
that's why I think it's not a question of removing an invalid log, but
of course, I can't be sure.

The mismatch is in the total QSL count reported and the amount of QSLs
reported for all my callsigns under Statistics, like PY2YP described.
Weird, but nothing to lose sleep for.

Yeah, except for this:

-

*Can I delete QSOs that I've submitted?*

No. If you've submitted a QSO containing erroneous information, correct
the information and submit the QSO again
<https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/submitting-qsos/>.

-

So how can the total be affected with an action that can not be taken?

The wording is subtle, but what is says is "when contact are manually
removed or updated".
That means "when the ARRL LoTW staff manually removes or updates them."

I, too, have one "missing" QSO somewhere. Also, in the past I had one
