Re: [Eug-lug] Brother Laser printers
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 My only experience with Brother multifunction printers was really negative. I don't remember the model number now, but there was absolutely no support for it, I couldn't even get it to print (much less use any of the other functions, aside from stand-alone copying). - -- - -Ron Smith -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHw28GlChcsgPcYkYRAuQqAJ4pP0swHWKZT9NGGxHhvYv52alopACfcmsT esLsHuWyihb2pT6axStD3QI= =scQh -END PGP SIGNATURE- ___ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
Re: [Eug-lug] Brother Laser printers
Some of the older models don't scan right, even with XP. I have a MPC-9600 that will only copy and print, but won't scan. The newer models are fast, but the paper trays are kind of delicate--I keep a bottle of super-glue handy to fix broken plastic parts. Xsane is a very good application. If it is supported by Xsane, you will likely have a better experience than I did with your Brother scanner. ___ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
Re: [Eug-lug] Brother Laser printers
I have an HL-2070N, and it supports ipp and has an ethernet port so using it from Linux is dead simple, it always works.
