Currently only the focused and plain buttons can have different styles
and colors when selected, an iconified window's button always looks like
a plain window's button. I prefer to use different style and colors for
iconified windows even if they are selected.

The attached patch adds the 'IconAndSelectColorset' and
 'IconAndSelectButton' configuration options.

Note: I sent the patch to the fvwm-workers mailing list a month ago, but
 nobody bothered to reply.

That's really a strange idea to dump patches into the Debian bug
tracking system because nobody took care of it on the list back
then.

Anyway, I've cleaned up the patch a bit, tested it and will apply
it in a minute.

Is there some reason to not adopt that change?

Lack of time.

FVWM: IconMan old patch

2014-08-06 Thread Walter A. Iglesias
Hello guys,

Searching for a way to preserve icon styles on IconMan while hovering it
with the mouse I've found this:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=529036

I've downloaded the diff file:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=FvwmInconMan-IconAndSelect.diff;att=1;bug=529036

and patched and installed CVS fvwm. It works as expected.

Is there some reason to not adopt that change?
