I get this error when I try to sync receiving file list ... link_stat metadata/timestamp.chk (in gentoo-portage) failed: No such file or directory 0 files to consider -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list

[gentoo-user] mysql support in php with out emerging mysql?

Is it possible to install php (any other packages for that matter) with mysql support but never install mysql on the machine only use remote mysql?
