Hi, I used to have a copy of the bounce.pl script Jeff used to suggest
for importing old messages. I don't need it for that (Jeff discourages it
not due to spam and support issues), but for another use.
Googling only turned up the majordomo script w/same name and

For reference, I was the user in question, so flame me for suggesting
it if it totally goofs. :)
Jeff has been so kind as to seed a tagged spamtrap address of mine
(he also has several of his own) on the Mail-Archive site in the
hopes of deterring spambots.

Hi Jeff,
can you tell me why the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
has not been archived yet ?
You stated that a whole week could pass before
the first occurence can be seen in the archive.
But I have had better results with the now defunct
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thank you for this mail-archive -- Gravel Roger (418-528-4648) au N2-15

Jeff,
Thanks for your attention and quick fix on this. Everything seems to be
working wonderfully now.
And major duh on my part ... honestly, I looked over the FAQ, and can't
imagine how I missed the entry on the problem. Thanks for being a good
sport.
Best wishes,

Jeff,
Will you delete the [EMAIL PROTECTED] archive?
This list only existed for a very short time and it has been
replaced with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks,

2002/06/22 are no longer a factor since Jeff
configured things awhile back to have MHonArc only deals with last X
number of messages for an archive (I do not know off hand what Jeff
set the X to). Older messages are dropped from the navigational
index but are still left on the file system for search-based retrieval -- Earl Hood

some way of deleting spam ads seems to be a good idea.
if this is too much work for Jeff alone to do, there
could be a team entrusted by him, sort like the
rtfm.mit.edu FAQ team.

the good news is, Jeff put back -- TANAKA Tomoyuki
