[IMGate] Header Filtering

2005-09-21 Thread Aaron Clausen
I know this is ever-so-slightly off topic, but I'm looking for a method to
filter out the From header for a specific group of addresses on
*incoming* mail only. I've read up on the header_checks setting, but it
looks like it would probably REJECT even messages coming from the inside
heading out.

[IMGate] Re: IMGate/Postfix under Ubuntu/Debian

2005-09-07 Thread Aaron Clausen
Alright, I've got Ubuntu 5.4 installed. I see that it comes with Postfix,
but obviously to get stuff like Anvil up and running, I need to install
the experimental version. Any notions on how to do this?

[IMGate] IMGate/Postfix under Ubuntu/Debian

2005-08-24 Thread A. Clausen
Right now both my IMGate servers are running on Slackware boxes. I'm
thinking of migrating one to Ubuntu, but was just wondering if anybody had
had any experiences with compiling and maintaining Postfix under this
distro.

So, is SPF a whitelist feature? a blacklist feature?

Since most of us have solved 98+% of our SPAM probles, SPF will at very
best be tiny increment of help, and we are a long way from very best SPF
 implementation.

My primary intest in making SPF records for all our mail domains is to
ensure delivery with some of the big guys, which give some preferential
waiting when an SPF record is found.

[IMGate] Very Dumb Question

2005-02-12 Thread A. Clausen
This is a terribly stupid question, but I'm putting together another IMGate
box, and have downloaded the latest experimental version of Postfix, but my
brain's in a fog as to what I compile with it. I know I have to do PCRE,
but is there anything special for anvil?
