For ease of use the Indo site is easiest, but it is occasionally annoying
with its incomplete data base for non-US cities. It's great circle bearings

Thanks for the tip on the MFJ unit... I wasn.t aware of it. It does
do the same thing, but the e-ham reviews question the reliability of
some fairly cheap switches. For those who are really short of radio
time or who shy away from even simple construction, the MFJ unit
might be the way

I heard back from the eBay vendor in Hong Kong, and they confirmed that
the M97 unit they sell (eBay item 310011297763) is the non-Americas
version which only tunes to 1602 khz.
As for the M97 from Audio Cubes, their web site doesn't give any tuning
range specs for the version of the M97

A friend of mine driving in Leesburg/Eustis, Florida heard an oldies station
on 1510 and he thought the calls were WZ but after talking a minute, he
agreed what he heard was WDRF. He didn't get a terribly clear ID as he was
literally driving aorund listening to WLAC when he heard this.
