Sure I agree, but you should provide some documentation to go with it.
And also make sure that the slide number (which you are generating using
the Counter_Section) is also used on the other two foilhead types (so they
can be intermixed and still show the right foil number.

I'm not opposed to your change I just want you to do a complete job.

It is possible to make a small change to layout.C that will allow having the
slide titles appear in the TOC without adding the numbers to the titles.
However, the numbering of the titles is a useful feature on its own.

Only if you provide Mike with a suitable addition to the documentation
explaining why Foilheads are numbered. You should also be aware that
RotateFoilhead and ShortFoilhead also exist and should be considered
equivalent to Foilhead (so add counter stuff there also).

LyX 1.2.0: Feature proposal

2001-02-01 Thread Michael Schmitt

Hello,

when using document class "Slides (Foiltex)", there is - of course - no table
of contents and hence no way to navigate through the document. But wouldn't it
make sense to add the foil headings to some kind of virtual table of contents
such that the user can directly jump to a particular slide?

Kind regards, Michael

Edit foils.layout and change Style Foilhead by deleting the line
  LabelTypeNo_Label

and inserting

  LabelType Counter_Section
  LabelSep xxx
  LabelFont
SizeFootnotesize
Color Blue
  EndFont

instead. This will show you the slide number.

PS: Should I make this change in CVS ?
