In Saturday's Pioneer Press' story by Patrick Sweeney and Aron Kahn, about how
Gov. Pawlenty might try and get the Twins to come to Saint Paul, there was a
very interesting comment by Hennepin County Commissioner Mike Opat, the
architect of the Twins - Hennepin Co. stadium plan.

Dear Don Samuels:
I attended a candidate debate for 5th Ward Council held at North high school.
You and Natalie Johnson-Lee are the candidates that debated. Stunningly,
during a candidate and policy debate, you called Travis Lee, NJL's husband, a
pornographer and alluded to the Trendsetter.

The best thing about this race is that the African American community has
produced two viable and experienced candidates for this office. How they
got there, i.e. redistricting, is another subject and as far as I can see,
not the fault of either. The fact is they are running against each

I thought that wood burning stoves produced a lot of particulates. If
many residents started relying more on wood burning, would there not be
a significant increase in air pollution in the city? Is the same true
for corn and pellet stoves?

The saddest part of this race is that the only things they seem to argue

Ms. McCandless, have you not heard what people in the fifth have been

Well, here's my two-cents. Yes, the term pornographic is very subject and
