After making this one I was told these apparently are one heck of a lot of 
work to build with these curved end pieces. They will do 2 prices for $475 
each and if there were more he will get the price down. I know, that's a 
lot of dough for an acrylic case, but I don't know that I'd trust anyone 
else to make them.

I had this fab'd my the same outfit that does all our acrylic work. The guy 
does great work!  And yes Jeff, he made me aware of the degree of difficulty to 
do these curved ends. Wasn't cheap! But WTF...

If there were enough interest for at least 10 I will have a batch made. We'll 
see.

Nice that you found it. That is a real treasure!!  Quite often a good 
cleaning, and 'proper lubrication' is all that they need to be running 
again. It appears from the photo that yours is missing the glass. I had 
to recently find glass for my old General Radio syhchronometer, and 
found it at      RONELLCLOCK.COM  for a very reasonable price. Good luck 
with the Seth Thomas if you decide to restore it.

Thomas (and others) mantel style clocks of a hundred years or so ago. As 
a child of long ago I remember seeing quite a few of them. Nice 
reminder, and very nice work to the craftsman who did this. For those
