Subject: [Mearnsbirdclub] Golden Eagle back at Storm King Mtn.
Seen today from the Route 9W scenic parking lot at Storm King Mountain: 5 Am.
Crows, 3
20 mi. between the
Middletown roost and Newburgh roost as well as about 20 between Newburgh and
Poughkeepsie. I wonder if the answer is, half that distance or 10 mi. I
wonder if population density also plays a roll. Comments?
Good Birding,
Curt McDermott

With Rob Stone's permission, I am forwarding his earlier post to the Mearns
Bird Club, to the state list as well. After his post, in addition to the below
mentioned Snow Geese, he had an additional flock of 2500-3000 Snow Geese at Oil
City Rd., in Pine Island.
Good Birding,
Curt
For anyone interested in photos of the Pine Island Ross's Geese(both phases), I
have included a link.
