I couldn't get any closer (the only legal way is boarding a tourist
boat which isn't allowed to disturb the seals and only for max 5
minutes). The F70-210 was the longest lens in the bag.

Nice idea. I, of course, have no way of knowing if it had been
possible, but if so, I would have moved to my left thereby placing the
cloud 'prox halfway between the dune and the left edge.

both renderings but I prefer the low saturation. I would like
to hear your comments.
Didn't bring my macro lens, the 16-45 is also performing very nicely in macro.

I will print it big once I receive the roll of epson paper.
If you click on the image you see a larger version (1500 px wide).

To be honest: I don't know. Well seen and framed. Maybe it needs some
action, lighter background or more contrast.

Tim,
I would try masking the front bird and reduce the saturation of the
remaining image to almost BW and maybe also adjusting the brightness
and or contrast of the background. Should be a nice photoshop
exercise.

Yes it's an improvement. I would make the background darker and remove
the green CA. If it's more grey/darker the bad/heavy weather is more
visible.

Today was very good light and so I made some shots and finally compiled

My K10D finally arrived and i'm learning how to use this beauty. It's
heavy and (very) fast. I like it.
When I set the program line to MTF my camera always wants to use wide
open aperture on the 16-45 which isn't what MTF should do. Firmware is
1.20
Any suggestions?

I filled my CF card to the brim with these seals. A puzzle version:

On the horizon on the first one lots of others seals are visible as
black spots which I kinda prefer.

Very nice. The hummingbirds are now even better.
With CS3 it's possible to output a zoomify version of the highres arch
(for pixelpeeping).

The K10D is totally amazing. The shots really
versions (CS2? CS3?) support lens data.
Cheers.
