Re: [storage-discuss] same lun displayed multiple times with multiple targets
Robert, I found a solution/workaround. Instead of making the initiator connect to two different targets, I made the initiator connect to the same target twice (multiple sessions using different ip addresses). I followed the instructions on this post: http://roggyblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/multipathing-and-multiple-connections.html Thanks, Naren. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
Re: [storage-discuss] same lun displayed multiple times with multiple targets
Robert, Thanks for your response. I am mapping the lun to two different targets to do multiple connections from a windows machine (and improve performance through multi-pathing). Is there a way to do multiple connections (and improve performance) over a single target? Re: [storage-discuss] same lun displayed multiple times with multiple targets
I know answering to questions with "why do you want to do this - do it this way ..." is usually annoying, so sorry in advance :) To get multipathing going, why not use one target, configure it for two target portal groups on different IP's, so a lun is visible multiple times under the same target and you have multipathing. Only problem is that can not bring the target offline, which may be required if you want to change IP's.
