I want to share something very important with you all.
I received a phone call from an ex-colleague's friend that:
1) A guy named Turjo Islam is calling himself the chairman of
Ubuntu in Bangladesh, pointing people to ubuntu.com as a reference
of how large the Ubuntu company is.
Not only Ubuntu TradeMark Infringement, as far as I can recall (correct me
if I wrong) Bangladesh Company Act, 1994 has some rule that without
registering as a Limited Liability Company (Private or Public) no one can
you the words like; 'Ltd.', 'Limited' or 'সীমিতদায়'. So, I guess, he / they

The Facebook page is not the problem, in fact it'll help us to prove
the misdeeds of the fraudsters.
What I'm particularly concerned about is the allegation that he
grabbed money from people by using visiting card/pad/print publication
with the Ubuntu logo and Ubuntu's name itself, so if things

It's a very very serious issue! I don't know how can we inform RAB! I
mean they even don't know Ubuntu! I am not sure but I guess if any
person who have given money to that person (Turjo), should file a
case/GD! and from Ubuntu Bangladesh we should also file a GD as soon

I've contacted the Community Council and I was advised not to take any
legal action by ourselves before the legal team of Canonical starts
their work.
So for now let us collect as much as information / pictures as
possible so that we can provide them as evidence later on.

I'm an expatriate. I'm not involved in Ubuntu BD. As BD national, ubuntu
user/ lover and because of the GNU Licensing of Ubuntu I would say we
all should participate in ubuntu user extension in BD. We should know why we
BD people need Ubuntu and work accordingly.

আসলেই জিডিটা করে রাখা মনে হয় জরুরি। যেহেতু টাকা পয়সায় ব্যাপার শোনা যাচ্ছে

দেড় বছর থেকে বর্তমান। এতদিন পরে বিষয়টা নিয়ে সচেতন হওয়া হচ্ছে।
এতদিনে কি কি অঘটন ঘটিয়ে ফেলেছে কে জানে ?
