I mostly fixed the problem on my system with the following steps:
1. I installed the Breeze theme (kde-frameworks

kde-frameworks/breeze-icons
o "Application Style".
Select "GNOME/Gtk Application Style".
Make sure "Icon Theme" is set to "Breeze"
& "Fallback theme" is set to "Adwaita". If there's no "Adwaita" option,
then emerge x11-themes/adwaita-icon-theme.
Done &

I'm not an expert on KDE internals, but I would guess that it's either a
problem with the theme or the rendering of the theme. The easier one to
test is the former - perhaps emerge kde-plasma/breeze, select the breeze
theme from KDE control panel and log out / back in again. If that doesn't

Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Is kde-plasma/kde-gtk-config installed? I

Just the ones with 'theme|icon':
kde-frameworks/breeze-icons-5.23.0
kde-
.
Kind off. Like all vertical writings were damaged, transparent areas became
solid, backgrounds lost, icons washed out.
And after an export and re-opening the you did not get what you saved.
A complete clusterfuck.
Then I tried inkscape - and that one was a breeze.
For your problem: maybe because
Updading to kde-frameworks 5.32 breaks my desktop. So I masked it. Meaning:
=kde-frameworks/attica-5.32.0
=kde-frameworks/breeze-icons-5.32.0
=kde-frameworks/extra-cmake-modules-5.32.0
# ... and all the rest
in /etc/portage/package.mask/kdeframeworks
That worked for a couple days

space-consuming, plus there are those single-colour icons that are clearly
inspired by Spysoft Windows 10).
Oh well, in the early days of KDE 4 I was a huge fan of KDE 3’s Crystal
icons, and now I really like Oxygen. It is always a question of getting u

Same topic sort of so going to try the same thread first. I've run up
on something weird but I'm not real sure where to start looking. This
is what I do and what I get in return. I have my desktop set to folder
