with no previous actions on my part -- it just appeared out of nowhere

I finally convinced my office to build all our new servers on Gentoo
(without regret), but I looking to move a few desktops to Gentoo as
well. My main obstacle right now is PocketPC and syncing them.
Calendar applications etc are not important, but retrieve files etc is

Using a light XFCE myself, I don't get what's the trouble in choosing

I installed Lightning in my Mozilla Thunderbird. Lightening supports iCalendar
(ICS), CalDAV, and Sun Java System Calendar Server (WCAP).
How can I install one of those Servers on my Gentoo Linux (HowTo?, Package?)? I
searched with eix -S wcap etc. but did nothing found nor did I found
wonder how. I see in google some attempts to use wine or other ms
windows emulators / virtualizers.
I do not need to sync contacts/mail/calendar since I do that with
google.
I haven't seen any howtos for tethering directly with gentoo.
