I am having problems setting up X-forwarding for libreoffice (gentoo)
over ssh to an ipad (iSSH client).
X-forwarding is working fine for xterms, fluxbox and simple apps but
libreoffice fails even when using the -display localhost:10.0 argument.
The $DISPLAY is also correctly set inside the ssh
Multiple instances of /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/nsplugin keep
spawning even after I kill them. I suspect midori although I have the
libreoffice plugin disabled. Has anyone else seen this? How can I
confirm my suspicions?

After my last (large) emerge upgrade I can no longer open documents stored
on network shares in Libreoffice. For instance, we have a Samba file
server that I open using Nautilus in Gnome. For a long time I've been able
to double-click files on that share in Nautilus and have them open
