musepack is responsible for the mpc, the rest are module-file formats,
usually used for the great 8-bit music.
There's just many of them, often from different platforms.

Hi.
I have to choose between:
- Purchase 1GB DDR400 (2x512MB) value RAM.
- Purchase 512M DDR400 (2x256MB) good CL2 RAM.
It's for a home machine (A7N8X-Deluxe MB, Athlon XP 2600+)... Sometimes
i have to use vmware.
Thanks in advance, cheers.

It didn't work so I compiled xmms-musepack and recompiled mplayer (cvs
version). No luck! But your mail made me compile the stable package and this
version uses the xmms plugin :). mpc files now play in mplayer (yipee).
Thanks once

I'm trying to run revdep-rebuild --library '/usr/lib/libmpc.so.2'
rm '/usr/lib/libmpc.so.2' following the elog message after I updated
dev-libs/mpc-1.0.1. (I think).
Anyway, one (rather ancient) box continuous to fail with:

Any ideas?

Regards,
Mick
I can't see any error. I get those spurious failures if I use emerge
-j4 (i.e. multiple emerges in parallel)
Furthermore make sure you the following libraries installed
dev-libs/mpc dev-libs/mpfr and dev-libs/gmp
Try rebuild it with emerge -j1
