But I have it without any problem with yahoo service on firefox 2
That's for the tips on pango any way, I will try it

This is an old thread. The problem cleared up after a couple of days,
maybe Jan. 7th or 8th IIRC. It is no longer a problem here.
Thanks,

Here's the output of revdep-rebuild:

So all you seem to need is to remerge pango before gtk+. The problem here is
that revdep-rebuild is absolutely clueless when in comes to ordering the
rebuilds Try: http://pastebin.ca/raw/383456

It seems better now, but i am not sure.
I will be very appreciated if you can tell me what the command means!
Thanks!
It disables pango library usage, there's a known bug about
behaviour? I looked in the forums but I found nothing.
Pango is enabled by default in Firefox 1.5.
export MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1 and try again.
There's been a thread in the forums lately:

. Sometimes you can look at the
build failure and see that another package, that revdep-rebuild missed,
needs an update, but not always.
On the other hand, nothing KDE4 seems affected, it's mainly
GTK/glade/pango/cairo stuff that's affected, so you would probably get
away with it on a pure KDE4 box

Hi,
I am confused...
For my new gentoo root I want openbox AND gparted.
But emerge says this:
# required by x11-libs/pango-1.40.3::gentoo
# required by x11-wm/openbox-3.6.1::gentoo
# required by openbox (argument)
>=x11-libs/cairo-1.14.8 X
and
# required by dev-cpp/cairomm-1.12.0-r1::gen

If you need a speed boost in Firefox, there is some additional
tweaking that can be done. The pango library allows Firefox to
simultaneously render US English text (if that's your system locale)
*AND* Chinese, and other similar text. It slows down Firefox in the
process. If you're
make it appear correctly. Also does moving
the mouse over the menu fix the correct display of the items in case there are
some that are drawn incorrectly.
I reverted pango to 1.12.0 but no change. So i re-emerged pango to 1.12.1. I
reverted glib, no change, so I re-emerged.
Hope anyone has
, there was no such
package. A google search discovered that libpangocairo is provided by
pango-1.28.x. I only had 1.26.x on my system. 1.28.x was masked, but
if fixed my package.keywords file, emerged pango-1.28.1 and that solved
all of my problems - I could even do the remaining updates on my system
