Hi,
I recently upgraded ProjectX to 0.82.1.0. Unfortunately now I get the
error message:
java.lang.Exceptions:
commons-net library not accessible! see readme.txt [ii]
ensure the correct location/classpath, related to the executed .jar
at net.sourceforge.dvb.projectx.common.X.main(Unknown
ProjectX is a java mpeg2 editor. It used to be in portage but has been
dumped with no warning. I didn't have a chance to move it to overlay.
Does anyone have an ebuild for this package?

When I emerge it, it complains that it can't find any JDK but I have

Hi,
I have used ProjectX to sync audio/video and to correct some
bugs in a DVB-T recording.
Now projectx leaves behind an audio file and a video file.
I would like to mux them again...which application can do
that job for me (formats: *.m2c/*.ac3 ) ???
Thanks a lot for any help
Hi folks,
since several people recommended projectx, it must be emergeable I guess. ;-)

If it used to be in Portage, you can probably find it in the CVS attic--

Would you happen to have a link? All I found was this guide on doom9:

As Jeremy already mentioned it is in portage, anyway here is the link:

That would be the ProjectX mentioned by Meino Christian. Works well for
me. lve (Linux Video Editor) can do this, too, but I found the
interface quite non-intuitive and dropped it after all in favor of
ProjectX.

is there a light-weight MPEG2 editor (preferable in portage)? I don't
need anything fancy, just something to cut off a bit at the begin and
the end of a file. And no, kino doesn't like MPEG2.
If you don't care about the quality of the cutted scenes projectx, is
what i reccommend.
But projectx
that ffmpeg can handle, but
I've found that this doesn't always work. There was a thread on this a
couple of weeks ago, after which I started using projectx for this.

fix isn't coming. I need an alternative...
try ttcut, it is a tool just for removing commercials, i use it in
combination with projectx for demuxing and mplex for muxing again,
because ttcut needs audio and video separate.
unfortunately ttcut is not in portage
