If non-free software is not of any concern for you, then maybe try
Vivaldi browser? It is based on the same engine and feels quite like
chromium but with many many more options (USE=widevine for netflix ;) )

I got two problems, which have to do woth "sound" ... more or less.
First one: The vivaldi browser does not produce any audio...
The Vivaldi support page says (for Ubuntu) one had to install a
certain ffmpeg package, which is - namewise - related to chromium.
Since there is
have is 1 "URL not found" report.
Vivaldi finds both Google & Wikipedia without any problem.
All the other usual newspapers etc come up as usual :
only those 2 fail to appear when using Firefox.
I've checked for cookie blockers, but there's no related entry,
nor anything in AdB
