Hi,

I thought I would let people know a little about me, I am heavily influenced by open source principles however my inexperience of open source development politics in practice means I am floating a little. I am available for the next six weeks so can, and want to, work on James full time, at least equivalent to a £6,000 donation to the project (granted you have to spend it with me, but its all I can give at present). I would like to see James improved because the business I am starting next year requires certain things, particularly deployable mail applications (noted on the wiki). This means that I will personally continue to contribute to James in the long term, but to a lesser extent next year. If the business is successful then the business will contribute to James. James will go into service for this business in April where it will be used lightly until September, use will rise significantly from there after.

My biggest interest is improving the runtime management, as touched on above (deployable mail applications), especially for September.

I started working life as a mechanical engineer primarily making tools for the production lines of electronic device components. I left that to do music and sound engineering at college but but found web design and software engineering would actually give me a living. I have been working on some interesting projects over the last 7 years, related to software, but difficult to discuss. While doing this I have also been working on three books, essentially philosophy on metaphysics (my magnum opus), economics and artificial intelligence. I am 33, live in the UK and work wise consider myself a social entrepreneur. I am a Taoist and have a degree in martial arts, my long term aim is to open an academy of learning. I have used James for many years and regularly recommended it to others.

Due to my immediate availability some guidance on the way forward would be welcome so I can align my efforts with the current objectives. If the release date for version 3 is sometime next year I will be able help significantly. I realise people have responsibilities so look forward to responses when these are taken care of.

Thanks for your time,

Simon
