Re: james doesnt start

Hello Thilo,
i have set JAVA_HOME to the JRE directory now.
this is the output:
caspar:/opt/james-2.3.2/bin# sh phoenix.sh start
Using PHOENIX_HOME:   /opt/james-2.3.2
Using PHOENIX_TMPDIR: /opt/james-2.3.2/temp
Using JAVA_HOME:      /home/caspar/jre1.6.0_18
Starting Phoenix:
nohup: redirecting stderr to stdout
Phoenix running pid=1939

this makes no different.

which java pagage do you use for james ?
i have downloaded the JRE from sun.com and installed with executing the .bin 
file.
is this correct ?

That looks like an odd JAVA_HOME.  It should point
to the JRE directory, not the bin subdirectory.  Try
changing that and see if it makes a difference.
