Hi Simon,
To my knowledge, James 2.3 has no such migration tool.
(For the record, James 3 supports the import of 2.3 mails)

Thx,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Thx, but I what I want to know is that, is there any chance to import the old
emails into the newly configured database?

Hi Simon,

You have to stop the server and copy the var folder to a safe place (all
the file mails reside there).

After, you can change you settings and restart the server.
You also have to know that you will restart with no mails in the
database... (don't know if this is what you want?).

Thx,
Eric

Hi list,

We are trying to change the email repository of a running Apache James
server from file to dbfile, I want to know that is there any way to rescue
the email files that was stored before this operation?
Could anyone kindly tell me?

Simon
