On higher-spec machines the Linux client isn't that well optimised, it's
~30% slower than the NT cli client. My Team have run some pretty thorough
tests regarding this, and have found the fastest way to run SETI is to run
the NT client via WINE on Linux as it's quicker than running the NT client
in Windows.

But for your case, I think on the lower spec machines the linux client tends
to win out... especially on VLAR units :)
