I do not know of any cache'ing type program for Linux.  The easier choices
are to run your own SetiQueue on a Windows machine that is available to you,
or, point your linux client to one of the available public SetiQueues.  A
list is available at http://setifaq.org/queue/

As for setting up the client on Linux, you need to know a little about the
operating system :)

1. Download the client here: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/unix.html
The file you probably need is i386-pc-linux-gnu-gnulibc2.1. I recommend you
put it in your user directory on the Linux box.  If you login to the Linux
box as joe, then put the file in the directory /home/joe.  (I don't
recommend running the setiathome client as root on the machine)

2. cd to /home/joe. Untar the file you downloaded like this:  tar xvf
filename.tar
where filename.tar is the name of the file you downloaded.

3. cd to the directory created by the untar command, probably something like
setiathome3.03.

4. ls to get a directory listing.  You should see the normal .sah files.

To run the client just type ./name_of_executable.  You should get the normal
prompt asking if you are 1) New User or 2) Returning user.
