Are there any published benchmarks of relative operating system performance?
I'm currently running SETI@home on my home PC (PIII 800MHz), which is Win2K. I'm debating switching to Lindows to hopefully gain Linux performance but still run the obligatory M$ apps. Any info would be much appreciated DK -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:me@;t-pot.net] Sent: 25 October 2002 04:28 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Should i even Try? id use linux you get a much better performance from it than winblows i had thought about using an old pb486 so dont feel bad bout your p166 and as always on older machines you can oc it and see if it improves any not like you will be hurting if you fry it Quoting Broc Olson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Lo hi all.
