Hey all,
JUST got my Spirit RT yesterday. I bought it from my shop and they just
finished installing a new oil pump and heat treated intermediate shaft
(as well as some go fast goodies).
He said that the oil gauge was reading funny, but when they put a
mechanical one on there, it was showing normal pressure. However, I was
driving the car home from work today and I heard some valve chatter
(like the lifters lost pressure), the oil pressure gauge dropped and
the "Check Gauge" light came on. I pulled over and turned the car off.
Obviously the car lost some sort of pressure or I wouldn't have heard
the clatter. I checked around and under the car, no leaks. When I
started the car back up, it was still low pressure. I babied/coasted it
home, but I'm afraid to start it. Any ideas??
Thanks. . .shawn
