>From what I read, the software modem has 2400 bps. I guess this is so because of time constraints in implementing a better design, rather than processor limitations. In that case, I am interested in trying to understand this design, and see if we can download the work to some aspiring software engineers! I guess this work is related to 'linmodem' work to support HCF modems. -Vinod
