Reconnect disk.

from boot prom, run 'reset' , boot from cdrom

run format> label       verify      analyze     in that order.  

Install Solaris

If same results, maybe your disk is bad...

Yes , I did. But it didn't progress to the end of installation , but ended
with the following message and waiting at the os prompt :
error : could not label disk
error : could not update disk with new configuration

At this os prompt, I tried for the 'newfs' & 'installboot' as you told me .
