Kirk Read (www.kirkread.com) is the author of How I Learned to
Snap, a humorous memoir about being openly gay in a small
southern high school. His writing has appeared online at Suspect
Thoughts and in the anthologies Best Gay Erotica 1999, Bears on
Bears and Out in the Castro. He‚‚‚s written for the gay press for the
past five years and was the editor of Virginia‚‚‚s LGBT newspaper.

A girl named Charles Anders dresses in women's clothes full-time
and is the author of The Lazy Crossdresser
<www.lazycrossdresser.tv>. Charles loves tranny chasers, roller
skaters and meatloaf. She's also webmistress of
godhatesfigs.com, co-publisher of Other Magazine, and host of
Writers with Drinks! Another 'Belle' story appears in Best
Transgender Erotica.

DJ Puss Puss will be spinning the danceable beats that will make you not only tap your feet, but also laugh and go „„„I remember this song. DJ Puss Puss excellent and eccentric musical taste is featured monthly in the Spectrum‚‚‚s music review section, and made Puss Puss a favorite DJ of many of SF benefit events. DJ Puss Puss is also Sister Kitty Catalyst of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

If you like to dance, sing and shake your groove thang, then Groovy
Judy and her music are just for you. Groovy Judy is San
Francisco‚s very own guitar-wailing, outrageous hat-wearing,
positive energy, colorful and very entertaining artist that puts a new
face on the late 60s and early 70s sound that made the Bay Area
what it is. From the songwriting influences of Sly and The Family
Stone, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles, she brings forth her
dominating style with the energy of some of today’s most known
artists. Groovy Judy makes people smile, laugh and put out good
vibes by delivering her own blend of positive funk, rock and pop.

Only Jim Bianco can do his unique collision of melody, wit and
imagination. If Randy Newman and Elvis Costello met at Tom
Waits‚ diner, they would probably put Bianco‚‚‚s music on the
jukebox. Bianco performs with the urgency of a
firecracker and the intensity of an oncoming train while still
maintaining his humor and sincerity. His listeners are left with
celebratory smiles, not comfortably overwhelmed.

Comprised of some of the best musicians of the Bay Area‚‚‚s
transgendered community, Lipstick Conspiracy provides an
original, high energy rock n‚‚‚ roll sound with great songcraft.
Lipstick Conspiracy has made accolades in a very
short time for their introspective material, intricate guitar work, and
stunning harmonies that combine elements of the „„„Big 80s‰‰‰
with a modern-rock edge. They‚re sitting on the cutting edge of the
gender frontier. The girls recorded their CD single at APG Studios
and have played at Cafe du Nord, El Rio and the Red Devil Lounge
in San Francisco and Dragonfly in Hollywood. Check em out at

The Gun & Doll Show is the most entertaining group to come out
of San Francisco in a long time. For eight years the band has
played virtually everywhere in town, redefining what is expected of
a rock group. Whether it‚‚‚s popping out of a six foot cherry pie,
dancing with a group of military cheerleaders or performing with a
50 Guitar Orchestra naked, The Gun & Doll Show is known for
always unpredictable live shows. From children‚‚‚s songs with
cute stories to straight forward heavy political rock combined with
military stage manners, The Gun & Doll Show encompasses
everything you never knew you always wanted.
