Well--this is not really a great thing but I had my students write a book recommendation----very simple form---draw a picture, title, author, illustrator, genre and why read the book. My students are ELL second graders and they were good. For the last 3 weeks we have been doing lots of think alouds and some of their learning/thinking came through in their writing (just one or two sentences). One student's thinking triggers others----kinda like the bathroom thing!!! olga > > Question: How do your students use written as well > as other kinds of responses to show their evolving > thinking? > >
