I don't think the toolkit is off topic. Could be wrong, here, but I will go out on a limb. The Toolkit is totally cool in that the articles and materials Harvey and Goudvis have collected are amazing and save much time for the teacher. Plus, there is something comforting about seeing lessons spelled out from start to finish, words said, student responses, teacher assessment thoughts, EVERYTHING is there. I used it for the first time last year with one other teacher at my school.
The one thing that was hard for us was honing the lessons down. We could not seem to find a way to present them as minilessons. No matter how many shortcuts we took, the lessons seemed to go on at least 45 minutes to an hour. So STW is goign to help me to hone those toolkit lessons, I think. I want to use the toolkit again, but make the lessons more to the point. I do believe the problem was more me and less the Toolkit. Practice makes perfect. :)Bonita ---- Kate Lino <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Oh, I didn't know about the internet booklist site. I will have to google it > and check it out!
