My daughter keeps sending me things she finds through StumbleUpon. Recently she has sent pictures of animals and of "lessons in logic" pictures. Both sets of pictures had ones that I thought ideal to teach inference and prediction. I found about 10 pictures total where the students would have to infer what happened prior to the photo being taken. They can predict what will happen in the future. I am planning on modeling with one of the pictures (the one I'm thinking of using has a snail on top of a frog!) and then helping them work through the next one. I am excited about using pictures to get the idea across before we tackle it in reading.
I'm wondering if anyone else has done something like
this--any feedback? Thanks, Freida 3rd/GA
