[SuSE Linux] libdb.so.1

I'm trying to build apache with mod_perl. The build goes OK but when I
try to load apache, it complains apache (with mod_perl) I get this
message

Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libperl.so into server: libdb.so.1: cannot
 open shared object file: No such file or directory  

libdb.so.2 exists, but libdb.so.1 seens to be libc5 only.

Solutions, comments?
