Thanks to everyone who wrote (publicly or privately) with suggestions about 
my problem reaching The Weaver's Hand.

The problem appears to have something to do with our local proxy server.  I 
don't know why the situation has suddenly changed, but now we are only able 
to reach The Weaver's Hand after disabling the proxy. ;<
