Since the loom was a prototype, we made it from scrap hardwood lumber. More pegs could be added to increase the length of the band if needed. I didn't even use the maximum length here, but have a woven camera strap connecting each end of the short tablet weaving.
What doesn't show clearly in the photo is the long slot in the middle horizontal board. That peg can be moved back and forth to adjust tension and is secured by a square wooden knob.
The only problem I've had with this design is the front end lifts when packing the warp. I solved this by tying a water-filled liter bottle to the front vertical board or crossing my legs and putting my feet on the bottom horizontal board. I want the loom to be light and portable, so I can deal with this.

Hi Sharon,I'd love to see a photo of your TW loom. I use an inkle loom for portability and ease of use (i.e., not being tied to anything).My dh built me a floor model he designed himself from a number of floor looms I saw on a German site.
