Just a thought, but it might be worthwhile to consider how the kid *use*
these bracelets. As it has been explained to me, they tie them on
and supposedly never take them off as a sign of undying friendship.
As a parent/grandparent clasps and such are nice, but if the idea is to
get and keep them interested, then some thought should be given to
"how it will be used"
For a 'next step' I like "key fobs" since that is also a
somewhat "hot" tween/teen - backpacks with twelze or thirteen
zillion key fobs
